What a busy month! Ayda has finally started to say more words after she took a long break. She figured out she could get just about anything with nonverbal gestures. On 2/23/13, Ayda woke up just saying Momma. Then on 2/26/13, Josh was putting Ayda down and she screamed at me "goodnight". On 2/27/13, while I was giving her a bath, we practiced blowing bubbles into the water. Her new word is bubbles. They are few and far between but Ayda is starting to talk more.

We have also been working on her nodding yes. Ayda can shake her head very well but has a very hard time nodding. She got to a point where she would shake her head even for yes. We have made it a mission to get her to nod yes. At Olive Garden on 2/26/12, we kept asking her if she wanted this or that trying to get her to nod yes. Finally she did for a piece of their Andes Mint Chocolate. Ayda has been nodding yes for several things.She has to try hard to nod, but she is getting there.

Ayda had her 18 month check up on 2/1/13. She weighed 23.5 lbs and is 33 inches tall.
