13 Months Old

Ayda had a busy first month as a one year old!

8/14/12: Ayda likes to read when we change her diaper. It actually keeps her still long enough.

This girl has changed from the bottle to cup and formula to milk. For the first few days we used different sippy cups with and without the spill proof devices. Ayda (and I) do not like to drink from sippy cups with spill proof devices. With some fussy mornings, Ayda finally gave into the whole idea on day three. But what made her the happiest was when we went to Jason's Deli. We had to get her ears checked again and she passed (which means we will not have to have her ears checked again unless we are concerned)! To celebrate, Ayda and I went to Jason's Deli. I got her a kid's meal with chocolate milk to see what happens. The milk was in a juice box with a straw (we have tried a straw cup with Ayda before, but it didn't turn out good). I was sure that I would be drinking the milk instead. I put the straw in her mouth and she actually started drinking the milk. She smiled the biggest smile! She had about half of the milk before she pushed the straw into the box. I tried to fish the straw out, but instead the milk came out all over the table.  When we got home I got the straw cup out and we have been using straw cups since.

8/16/12: Drinking from a straw!
When you turn one, you can sit on the kitchen island to eat your breakfast.
Since Ayda turn 11 months we have been getting her use to going to sleep by herself. After two months Ayda goes to sleep most of the time without out crying and when she does cry herself to sleep it is just for a few minutes. But it is a masterpiece to put together. Three things that must happen first: Cloud-b Gentle Giraffe on the Go must be playing, we must have Sophie the Giraffe (thanks MG for showing Ayda how special this giraffe is), and we must read certain books.
8/24/12: Reading one of her favorite books.
8/24/12: The first day I saw Ayda change the music on her
Giraffe to go to sleep to her own choice of music.
8/21/12: Ayda and Lorelai enjoying the cool air!
8/29/12: We went to see Gram and PawPaw
First time to see leaves dancing and Ayda squealed and clapped!
Playing in the rocks!
First rock
Aunt B came and we got to meet Pippa!

9/1/12: Ayda got to seat at the table for the first time at home.
This is easier to clean then the highchair table.
I, also, can see what food she drops into her lap a lot easier.

9/1/12: Getting ready for the Auburn game!
We built a tent to talk about game day strategies!

After many of our strategies failed, we conquered the first game viewing at Chili's.
Ayda colors on her first menu.
Then we went home and watched the game through the internet and listened to the radio.

Watching her second Auburn season.
Ayda slept mostly through her first season.
 9/2/12: Ayda and Daddy

9/3/12: Ayda found the Halloween bowl.

Putting baby inside of the bowl

This is how we hold babies, right?
9/4/12: Eating and holding the banana!
9/4/12: With Sophie!
9/6/12

9/7/12: Feeding her baby

Ayda's words:
Words are beginning to form like thank you, love you, Mama, Dada, dog, baby, and even Jesus
